It was a 2 month process to convert the detached garage into kennels. We upgraded the electric, added plumbing, septic
and heat. We put in a laundry room, bathroom, office and of course kennels. We installed a generator to power the kennels,
so when the snow flies up here on the pass and the power goes out; the animals will be safe, sound and warm. There is an
audio monitoring system in place, so if I am not in the kennel, I can still hear what is going on. I have a total of 6 runs and 6
stackable cages to house smaller dogs and other small animals. There is a refrigerator for medications and canned food, a
washer and dryer to clean the bedding and storage shelves for bedding, food and cleaning supplies.

Summer & Fall 2008
After being consistantly full weekends and holidays, I decided to wall off the garage door and turn the entire building into kennels. I added 8 more kennels, including 2 jumbo kennels that are 6x10 feet. That's plenty of space to house 2 or 3 giant breed dogs. Of course with more kennels, I needed more play yards. So I added two 4000 sq ft yards and a small indoor/outdoor yard off the front of the building.

Lots of room to run in one of the 2 new play yards.
Fall 2010
Now that I'm done expanding, it's time to add some shade trees.
